Obituary Overview
Sadly Missed but Lovingly Remembered
With sadness, we announce the passing of Gayle (Daryl) Atterbury at her residence in Calgary on June 10, 2018 at the age 63 years.
Gayle will be lovingly remembered by husband Ray Leochko; her children, Shaun Leochko of Calgary and Beth Regier and her husband Jesse of Lethbridge; and her two grandchildren, Lucas and Simon Regier. She will also be missed by her brother and sister-in-law Gary and Sandra Atterbury and their children Lisa and Delina; and her sister Gwen Atterbury and her children, Dalton and Becca. Gayle was predeceased by her parents Ivan and Marie Atterbury.
Gayle was the eldest child born to Ivan and Marie Atterbury in Edmonton. She grew up in the home along with her two younger siblings, Gary and Gwen, and spoke often about the numerous adventures they had together. Gayle had two children, Beth and Shaun, whom she and Ray raised together in Calgary. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother, showing her generosity in all that she did. Gayle will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held to honour Gayle’s life in the Prairie View Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home (1605 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Graveside Service at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
