June 3, 1948 – June 6, 2018

CONRAD, Barry Philip – Age 70, of Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, in V.G. Site QEII, Halifax. Born in Liverpool, he was a son of the late George W. and Jeannette L. (Zinck) Conrad. Barry enjoyed life’s experiences in forestry, trucking and teaching. He had a love for forestry and had graduated from Maritime Forest Rangers School in New Brunswick. Barry had been a Vocational School Instructor in Forestry at Middleton. In retirement, he trucked for several different firms in Western Canada. Barry enjoyed his wood working hobby and in particular time spent whittling his wooden spoons. Surviving are his children, Lesly Cochrane and family, Bon Accord, Alta.; Adam Conrad and family, Mactaquac, N.B.; Johnathan Conrad, Cold Lake, Alta.; sisters, Cheryl Miller, White Rock, B.C.; Donna Chanas, Napanee, Ont. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date at the family plot in Vogler’s Cove New Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Beehive Adult Service Centre, Aylesford. The family would like to thank those who recently helped to make his 70th birthday so memorable. Barry was so thankful that his children and sister travelled to see him in May.
