M. Céline Ouellette
It is with great sadness that
the family of Céline Ouellette, 90, of Riverview, New
Brunswick, formerly of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, announce her
death which occurred on June 5, 2018. Born in 1928, in Leclercville
Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Elphège and
Honorine (Parrot) Tousignant.
Upon completing school,
Céline taught ten years in Quebec. Following this, she
started her family, living briefly in Halifax, Toronto and Waverley,
settling in Eastern Passage in 1960, where she raised her five
children. She returned to teaching from 1968 to 1991 and earned a BA
in English from Saint Mary’s University in
1981.
She is survived by her younger
sister Blandine Tousignant of Halifax; her children: Michel (Barb) of
Moncton, Raymond (Sandy) of Tsawwassen, Hélène
Ouellette (Bill Porter), Suzanne Azevedo (Robert) and Frances
Ouellette, all of Moncton, and their father Georges; her
grandchildren: Danika, Robert, and Nakida Azevedo, Kateri and Robert
Lawson and their father Ed, Céline Porter, Samantha, Nico
and Cailean Ouellette and Ceron Ouellette; and her many nieces,
nephews, grandnieces and
grandnephews.
Besides her parents, she was
predeceased by brothers Jean, Norbert, Charles and Jacques, and
sisters Nathalie, Françoise, Lucie and
Marguerite.
Céline’s
life will be celebrated on July 2nd at 2 PM at
Boondocks Restaurant, Eastern Passage.Donations in memory of
Céline may be made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital
Foundation general endowment; the
CHUDumont Foundation; or the charity of your
choice.
Arrangements have been
