OBITUARY
James Derek Rae
20 October , 1948 – 28 April , 2018
James Derek (Jim) Rae. Born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox, BC on October 20, 1948 and passed away surrounded by love and tears at Comox Valley Hospital on April 28, 2018.
Jim is survived by his loving family, his wife Sandy, children Sherry (Tom), Linda, John (Michelle); Grandchildren Maranda (Sean), Marleah, Alexandra (Steve), Jade & Mica; Great Grandchildren Abigael & Landon. Jim was also looking forward to one more great granddaughter to give cuddles to.
Also missing him dearly are sisters Pat (Richard) and Heather (Jim).
Predeceased by Dad Al Rae (1975) and Mom Fran Rae (2016).
Four-legged friends Candy, Pat, Lily, Carlos and Millie gave him good excuses to go for walks and meet people.
Jim was a spontaneous planner who was always up for an adventure. He enjoyed time at his cabin, finding endless projects to mix with his naps and doggie walks.
Jim made friends everywhere and had a knack for making people laugh and feel at ease.
Jim’s big heart touched so many and we hope you never stop sharing all the crazy stories.
A time to share memories will be held at the family home with an open house on May 12,2018 from 11am to 7pm. For directions please RSVP to spr510@outlook.com.
