TWEEDY, Jean Aileen (nee Fraser)-
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jean Tweedy, at the Stirling Manor on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 in her 92nd year. Daughter of the late George Irvin Fraser and Jenny Margaret Rose. Loving wife of the late John (Jack) Samuel Tweedy. She will also be fondly remembered by long-time companion James (Jim) Manship. Beloved mother of Marie Kelly (Ed), Larry (Lisa), Brenda Rump (Brian) and Robert (Lorreena). Much loved grandmother of Jennifer (Aziz), Michael (Kristina), Laura (Steve), Jonathan (Rebecca), Joshua, Lucas, Brian (Colleen), Catherine (Kelly), Danielle, Nick (Victoria) and great grandmother of Olivia, Jack, Samuel, Benjamin, Avery, Elizabeth, Joseph and Sullivan. Jean is predeceased by her sisters; Betty Schwager (Carm), Lela Gaebel (Grant), and her brothers; Clarence (Annie), Les (Grace), Jim (Ollie), Earl (Dorothy), Wilbert (Gearida), Doug, Maxwell (Effie), Alex (Verna) and Don (Royna). She is also predeceased by her brother and sisters-in-law; Art (Ellen), Lyle (Mary), Ray (Nessie), Jim, Betty (Raymond), Mildred (Gordon), Shirley (Doug) and John. Survived by sister-in-law Helen Rollins. Jean was a long-time member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, as well as the Royal Canadian Legion Br#99, Belleville. Visitation will be held at the BELLEVILLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL LTD, 68 N. Front St. Belleville (613-968-5080) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Br#99 are asked to gather Tuesday evening for a Memorial Service at 6:45 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. (with visitation one hour prior from 10-11 a.m.). Interment to follow at Victoria Cemetery, Plainfield. A Reception will be held following interment at the Belleville Funeral Home Reception Centre. If desired, memorial donations to the Stirling Manor are much appreciated by the family.
