Hubert Edison Fawcett
Passed peacefully at his home in Morewood on April 13, 2018 at the age of 84. Leaving behind his partner Sue Rhyndress, and his children Beatrice Legue (Richard), Jeffrey Fawcett (Stephanie), Gail Roles (Deborah) and Oscar Fawcett. He will be missed by his stepchildren Stephen, Amanda and Ryan (Dayna). Dear brother of Art Fawcett (Phyllis), Phyllis Holmes (Earl), Dale Collard (Carol) and Marion Runion (Lyle). Predeceased by his parents Manson and Sarah, siblings Roger, Nellie, Don, Dwayne, Frances and Beatrice. Hubert will be missed by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Hubert loved the outdoors. From working in the bush, to fishing and boating, camping and enjoying campfires, barbecues and fish-fry’s (lots of smelts!) with friends and family, Hubert felt truly in his element in nature. He was born and raised in Toys Hill, Ontario and later worked on the Welland Canal. He traveled a great deal working on many construction projects. He once traveled to the Grand Ole Opry in West Virginia and enjoyed watching wrestling, playing dominoes, and gardening. He liked country music and used to regularly watched Heehaw, Bonanza and Gunsmoke. He will be missed by many friends and family members.

Funeral Arrangements
Friends may call at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home, Iroquois, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 18th at 11 a.m. Donations to the Donations to the Cornwall Hospice or The Canadian Lung Association would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
