Peacefully with her loving family at her side on Monday, April 9, 2018 at NHS-Welland Site. Beloved wife of Ron for 50 years. Loving mother of the late Debbie Longmuir (2017) and her husband Larry, Denis Green, Ryan and his wife Maria Rochon and Danielle and her husband Shannon Beauchamp. Dear Nana of Jason, Kayla, Scott, Brayden and Maxim. Predeceased by her parents James and Clara Penrose, her favourite aunt Rosie and her sisters Donna Wilson, Iona Meehan, Wanda Burke and Zelda Wootten. Will be remembered by many family and friends.
Gloria’s floral background enabled her to follow her passion making wedding flowers and cakes for many. She had worked at Hornby Florists for many years. She was a member/treasurer of All People’s United Church in Welland for many years and a member/organist of Wainfleet Congregational Christian Church. Her passions in life were golfing, baking and spending time with her family.
Family and friends will be received at Pleasantview Funeral Home, 2000 Merrittville Hwy. on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. with burial at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens to follow at 10 a.m. Memorial donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
