Obituary for Winnifred Elizabeth Christie (McKeen)
Winnifred Elizabeth Christie (nee McKeen)
Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the age of 89 at home in Maple. Mom, “Win”, was a great Mother and blessing to have in our life. She was a fun-loving woman who had a great sense of humour and absolutely loved people. She could talk to anyone. She brought sunshine into everyone’s life that she touched. She had a habit of making your day when you met her. She will be sorely missed by her son, Robert and his wife Roxanne, her grand children Rachel and Joshua, her sister, Ruth Wilkinson and her many nieces and nephews, in-laws, and other family members and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband Gordon Herman Christie, her daughter Irene “Linda” Christie, her grandson Jeffrey Scott, her siblings, William “Bill” McKeen, Margaret Pyper, Norman McKeen, and Robert “Harvey” McKeen. Visitation will be Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Kemptville Pentecostal Church located at 1964 Highway 43, Kemptville from 10:00 to 11:30 am followed by the Funeral Service. There will be a luncheon at the Fellowship Hall following the service. As a display of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kemptville Pentecostal Church where she was a member of the congregation.
