Doris Mary Horsman
1927-2018
Doris Mary Horsman-Sears formerly of Portage Vale, passed
away at the Jordan Lifecare Center Monday March 26, 2018. Born in
Portage Vale she was a daughter of the late Bliss and Sardea (DeMille)
Teakles. A homemaker she was a member of the Portage Vale Baptist
Church and had attended the Petitcodiac Baptist Church. Doris enjoyed
needlework; crocheting, quilting and also enjoyed family
gatherings.
Survived and sadly missed by her daughters Gloria
Arsenault of Amherst, Erie Platt (John) of Hamilton; son Loris Horsman
(Beth) of Petitcodiac; grandchildren Rick Horsman (Kayleigh), Frank
Ripley, David Arsenault, Randell Perry (Robin), Stevie-Anne Horsman
(John-Isaac Brown); great grandchildren Parker, Camden,
Kale, Prestynn Makenzie, Dawson, Tucker, and by several nieces and
nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Frank E. Horsman, second
husband Robert Sears and brothers Lloyd and Winston
Teakles.
Resting at Armstrong’s Funeral Chapel,
33 Russell St. Petitcodiac (756-3361) with visiting Wednesday March
28, 6-8 p.m. and from where the funeral will be Thursday at 1p.m. with
Rev. David Woodworth officiating. Interment at the Portage Vale
Cemetery at a later date.
