De Davidson, Québec décédée paisiblement entourée d’amour après un court séjour au Foyer du Bonheur, Gatineau, Québec le dimanche 18 mars 2018. Léa fut l’épouse bien aimée de feu l’honorable Thomas H. Lefebvre. Née le 5 décembre 1927 à Témiscaming, Québec, fille de feu Élie Vaillancourt et de feu Gladys Brazeau. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Lise (Neil Campbell) et Jean (Carole Barrette). Elle fut la bien aimée Mamie de ses petits-enfants Alexi (Benoit Mathieu), Valérie (Paul Caristena), David (Mélanie Ellies), Eric (Julie), Laura (Cédric) ainsi que leur mère Karen Sherk. Léa fut aussi la fière “Vieille Mamie” de ses arrières petits-enfants Xavier, Audrey, Éléna et Théodore. C’est auprès de la famille qu’elle a connu ses plus grandes joies. Elle laisse un frère; Reynald Vaillancourt (Marilyn Carroll). Précédée par un garçon Guy, son frère Raymond (Jeannine) et sa sœur Madeleine. Elle laisse deux beaux-frères Clarence Lefebvre, Roger Lemieux et une belle-sœur Sylvia Lefebvre. Léa sera manquée par plusieurs neveux, nièces et amis. Ils garderont tous un bon souvenir d’elle. La messe des funérailles sera célébrée en présence des cendres à l’église St. Pierre, Fort-Coulonge, Québec le vendredi 4 mai 2018 à 13h. Une réception est à suivre à la salle paroissiale. Des dons à la paroisse St. Pierre, fondation du CLSC Pontiac, Le Mont d’Or ou la fondation Santé Gatineau seraient appréciés.
From Davidson, Quebec passed away peacefully surrounded by love, after a short stay at Foyer du Bonheur, Gatineau, Quebec on Sunday, March 18, 2018. Léa was the wife of the late Honourable Thomas H. Lefebvre. She was born on December 5, 1927 in Temiscaming, Quebec, daughter of the late Élie Vaillancourt and the late Gladys Brazeau. Left to mourn are her children Lise (Neil Campbell) and Jean (Carole Barrette). Cherished grandmother of Alexi (Benoit Mathieu), Valérie (Paul Caristena), David (Mélanie Ellies), Eric (Julie) and Laura (Cédric) as well as their mother Karen Sherk. Léa’s greatest joy in recent years was spending time with her great grandchildren Xavier, Audrey, Éléna and Théodore. Survived by one brother; Reynald Vaillancourt (Marilyn Carroll). Predeceased by her son Guy, her brother Raymond (Jeannine) and her sister Madeleine. She leaves two brothers-in-law Clarence Lefebvre, Roger Lemieux and a sister-in-law Sylvia Lefebvre. Léa will be missed and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of the ashes at église St. Pierre, Fort-Coulonge, Quebec on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. Donations to St. Pierre Parish, CLSC Pontiac Foundation, Le Mont d’Or or the Gatineau Health Foundation would be appreciated.
