1921-2018
It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Evelyn Isobel Pyke, age 97, of
Springhill. Evelyn passed away peacefully at High Crest
Nursing Home, Springhill, NS on Sunday, March 18, 2018.
Born in Springhill, NS, she was a
daughter of the late Herbert and Georgina (Devine)
Burton.
Family and home were the most important
things in Evelyn’s life.
She will be dearly missed by son Barry
(Ellen), Springhill and daughter Bonnie (Jack) Martin of Springhill
and 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband Arthur
E. Pyke; daughters Diana G. Maddison and Marilyn I. McCormick; 1
grandson Trevor McCormick.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5
McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where a time of
visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1 to 2 pm, followed
immediately at 2 pm by the funeral service, Rev. Wayne McCarther
officiating. Burial will take place in the Hillside
Cemetery, Springhill in the spring.

Evelyn’s memory may do so to the charity of your
choice.
