Obituary of Bob Cochrane
COCHRANE , Robert Carlton “Bob” – Age 77, of Brookfield, passed away peacefully March 13, 2018 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born August 2, 1940 in Windsor, he was a son of the late Annie (Hood) and Laurie Cochrane.
Bob worked with the Bill Lynch Shows for more than 20 years. He was said to be one of the best agents out there and could con money out of anyone to play his game. He then later drove taxi for Layton’s Taxi for over 20 years, right up to 4 months before he passed. He loved to go fishing, play darts, and spend time with his grandkids and family. If you could not find Bob anywhere, you were sure to find him at the track. He also loved to tell stories and talk the ear off of anyone that would listen.
He is survived by his children, Cynthia (Alex) Cochrane-Smith, Sackville, NS and Kayla Luce of Tucson, Arizona, US. He had 4 grandchildren, Katelyn Cochrane, Courtney (Nick) Harnish, Alicia Smith and Morgan Smith. He also had 1 great grandchild, Natalie Harnish.
Bob was predeceased by his late wife, Kathy Ritchie.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 5pm Sunday, March 18th in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Valerie Kingsbury officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to assist with funeral expenses would be very much appreciated.
