Coleman, Muriel I. (nee Wilkins) September 7, 1926 – March 8, 2018
Passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side at the age of 91. Beloved wife of J. Douglas Coleman for over 66 years. Loving mother of James H (Rosemary), J. Douglas Jr. (Cheryl), Mary Elizabeth and J. Richard Coleman. Proud Grandma of James A., Timothy A. and Matthew D. Coleman (Sara). Muriel was the youngest, and last surviving of 5 sisters: Queenie, Annabelle, Eloise and Mary Jean. Muriel was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, after which she taught nursing at Victoria Hospital (London) and SickKids Hospital (Toronto). Following her nursing career, Muriel assisted her husband for many years at his law office in Kitchener. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A gathering to celebrate Muriel’s life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The House of Friendship, The Working Centre or YW Kitchener-Waterloo – Mary’s Place would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
