Obituary of Patricia Jackson
Jackson Patricia (nee Berst)
Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Chartwell LTC, Elmira, at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late I. Graham Jackson (2009) for 54 years. Dear mother of Heather and her husband Ronald van de Merwe of Massachusettes. Much loved grandma of Ryan van de Merwe and his wife Monica of Houston, Texas, Susan van de Merwe and her husband Stephen Warrington, and Sarah van de Merwe and her husband Christopher Warrington all of Waterloo. She will also be missed by her sister Jacqueline Michel and by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Marland and Clara (Heinz) Berst and sister Geraldine Bell. Pat was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, residing in Elmira for the last 62 years. She had a love of gardening and pets, and was an avid traveler, who with her friends had many adventures abroad. The family would like to express their appreciation to Chartwell LTC, in particular the second floor staff for their loving care and concern shown to Pat over the years. A special thank you also to Dr. Doris Winfield for her compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive their relatives and friends for a memorial service on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, with a reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Chateau Gardens Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
