Lorraine Saretsky
The family of Lorraine Theresa Saretsky (nee Butler) would like to announce that she passed away peacefully on February 20, 2018 at Samaritan Place in Saskatoon.
Lorraine was born in Saskatoon, SK and joined the Navy as a young woman. She worked for Sasktel in Saskatoon for several years. Lorraine met her husband Felix Saretsky in Saskatoon and enjoyed 64 loving years of marriage. Together they had two children and spent summers at their cabin at Emma Lake, SK. For many years they were snowbirds in El Centro, CA where they escaped the freezing winters. Lorraine loved curling, was an exceptional cook, a talented seamstress, needlepointer, and quilter. She has left a legacy of outstanding pieces for others to enjoy. Lorraine loved to dance. She was a generous and kind woman of strong faith, always humble about her many accomplishments.
She is survived by her loving husband, Felix Saretsky of Saskatoon, her son Rick Saretsky (Veronica) of Emma Lake, her daughter Cindy Coffin (Bill) of Saskatoon, her grandchildren, Blayne Burrows (Jordy) of Edmonton, AB, Andrew Coffin (Sarah Schneider) of Richmond, Virginia, Maxine Deys (J.P.) of Edmonton, and Emma Saretsky of Edmonton. Lorraine was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Easton Burrows and Cooper Burrows. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Alice (nee Fleury) Butler, sisters Blanche Christensen, Irene Day and Yvonne Buck and brothers Albert Butler and Lawrence Butler
