Patricia Ann ‘Patsy’ Greencorn
1949-2018
Greencorn, Patricia Ann “Patsy” – Age 68 years of
Havendale, Guysborough County. Passed away peacefully on Saturday,
February 24, 2018, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her
family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Guysborough, she was the daughter of the late
William and Margaret (Bray) Cunningham.
Patsy was a member
of St. Patrick’s Parish, Guysborough Intervale.
Patsy lived the simple life and enjoyed the simple things
in life, such as a good cup of black tea; she loved spending time in
her flower gardens, and taking care of her ducks, hens and her cat
Rusty.
Patsy had such a wonderful outlook on life; she
never worried about things, and never found a reason to complain. She
enjoyed every moment she spent with her grandchildren, Ryan and Carly,
they were the light of her life.
Patsy could make you laugh……but she could definitely make
you mind!
She is survived by her husband of
48 years, Carmen; daughter, Donna, son-in-law Wayne; grandchildren,
Ryan and Carly; sisters, Marie (Ambrose) Wallace; Eleanor Carter (best
friend); brother, John R.; sisters- in- law, Ann Newell;
Annabell (Arthur) England; Betty(Michael) Spears;
brothers-in-law, David( Diane) Greencorn; Freddie (Carol) Greencorn;
and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by
brothers-in-law, Clayton Carter, Douglas Newell; sisters-in-law, Eviva
Greencorn, Eva England and nieces, Patsy and Marlene Wallace.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday,
February 28, 2018 in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1 from St.
Patrick’s Parish, Guysborough Intervale with Father
Callistus Abazie officiating. Cremation has taken place, burial to
follow in the Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to
Guysborough Memorial Hospital or Palliative Care. Words of comfort may
