The passing of Dorothy (Allen) Steeves of Fredericton, NB, wife of Fraser C. Steeves, occurred on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Windsor Court Retirement Residence.
Born on July 26, 1926, in Fredericton, NB, Dorothy was the daughter of Wilfred and Grace (Gibson) Allen. Dorothy was predeceased by her daughter Anne Steeves of Montreal (Beaconsfield) and son Dan Steeves of Hillsburgh, ON.

Dorothy was a teacher in NB then in Montreal (Pincourt), where she retired. Subsequently, she lived in Brockville, ON, for 30 years with her husband. Dorothy was also an accomplished artist and craftswoman. She was a member of Wall Street United Church, Brockville, ON.

In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by her sisters Mavis Ryder and Joyce Hunter; brothers Murph Allen and Brooks Alden; daughter-in-law Gail Wood; sisters-in-law Marg and Marilyn; brothers-in-law Frank and Brian; niece Nancy and many loved nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was predeceased by her sister Carol Butler and brothers Stuart and Royden; sisters-in-law Jocelyn and Kay and son-in-law Chris.

A memorial will be held in Fredericton in March and the interment in St. George Rural Cemetery, St. George, NB, at a later date. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
