Obituary for Donald Wood
WOOD, Donald “Don” W. – Went to be with his Saviour on Saturday February 10, 2018 at the Woodstock Hospital in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Arlene S. (nee Waterland) Wood for nearly 65 years. Dear father of Donna (Roger) Borland and Joe (Kim) Wood. Loved grandfather of Garrett (Amber), Travis, Amy, Jamie (Joanna), Jennifer (Craig), Alicia, Trevor and great grandfather of Austin, Eva, Everly, Charlotte, Jaiden and Carson. Dear brother of Fay Wolosinovsky, brother-in-law of Bernice Stephenson and survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Don and his wife have been active members of Huron Park Baptist Church, Woodstock for many years. Predeceased by his daughters; Deborah Ann Green (1980), Mary Christine Wood (1995), by his sister Sheila DeGraaf and by his brothers-in-law; Nelson Waterland, George Wolosinovsky and Bill DeGraaf. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday February 15, 2018 from 2:30 – 4:30 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday at Huron Park Baptist Church, 199 Berwick St., Woodstock at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
