After 7 years of Colon Cancer Treatment, Ruth died peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 27th surrounded by family.
Loving sister of Brock Hutchinson (Gloria). Proud aunt of Colin (Stacey), Genevieve (Kyle), Shawn and Blake Hutchinson and her grand nephews Ethan, William, and Nathan. Ruth enjoyed many years of service overseas in Canadian Missions including New Delhi 1968 – 70, Moscow 1971 – 72, Tel Aviv 1973 – 75, Sri-Lanka 1976 – 78, Venezuela 1980 – 82, Washington D.C. 1982 – 87, Stockholm 1987 – 91, Kiev 1991.
Ruth’s family would like to sincerely thank the Staff and Surgeons at the Ottawa General Hospital and the Doctors, nurses, and Volunteers at May Court Hospice as well as her Friends and Neighbours.
As an avid Hiker and Quilter Ruth enjoyed many excursions with the Rideau trail club and her time with the Country Club Quilters.
In the spring, a graveside inurnment will take place at the family plot in the Palmerston Cemetery.
