Brindley, Iris (nee Bluitt):
Iris passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 76. Beloved wife of the late Lewis Brindley (2012). Loving mother of Sven Brindley (Nancy), Collette Gaucher, Laura Dunham (Dave), and Rebecca Moser (Sonny). Cherished grandmother of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by her sisters, Rosaline, Pauline, Sheila, Maureen, and Teresa. Predeceased by her parents Ivy and Paul Bluitt, her sister, Karen and her brother Ken. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Iris touched many lives with her courage, grace and ever present smile.
Iris’ family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 from 5 – 8 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 and from 2 – 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 where a Memorial Service will be held in the funeral chapel at 3:00 p.m. A reception to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation or St. Mary’s Hospital Cardiac Care would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
