Born on March 8, 1949 in Truro, he was the son of the late Sidney and Evelyn (Smith) Woodworth, and grew up in Milford. Charles had many joys in life; he loved listening and singing country and gospel music, good food, journaling his thoughts and feelings, and playing Bingo. Charles enjoyed visits from his family; he loved people, and they loved him. Charles is survived by five sisters: Beulah (Ken) Williams, Shubenacadie; Betty (Wade) Leightizer, Urbania; Jo-Anne (Alvin) Singer, Enfield; Janet (Terry) Hare, Enfield; and Sharon (Ronny) Hutley, Kennetcook; one brother, Philip (Paulette) Woodworth, Shubenacadie; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Special thanks to the staff of the Magnolia in Enfield where Charles resided since 2010 and to the staff at CEHHC for their care and kindness. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request; a memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2pm in Milford United Church, Lori Crocker DM officiating; interment in Gays River Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Corridor Community Options for Adults, 21 Convent Rd, Enfield, B2T 1C9; or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 5826 South Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3H1S6.
