After a lengthy illness, Steven Cobb passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at his home in Powassan on Friday, January 26, 2018. He was in his 63rd year. Steven was the beloved husband of Heather (Fisher) of Powassan and the much-loved father of Donna Green (Scott) of Huntsville and John Cobb of Powassan. Poppa will be lovingly remembered by granddaughters Hannah and Neveah. Steven was predeceased by his parents Grace (Newcombe) and Fred Cobb. He was the dear brother of Elizabeth Hooey (Frank) of Brockville, Nancy Kidd (John) of Shelburne, Timothy Cobb (Lynne) of Moon River, Alberta, Donald Cobb (Sherrill) of Leduc, Alberta, Susan Cobb of Brockville, Ben Cobb of Mattawa and the late Peter (survived by sister-in-law Sherry Seymour (Colin) of Mansfield). The Cobb family will receive visitors on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Paul Funeral Home and on Wednesday, January 31 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Powassan Legion Hall. The funeral service will be conducted in the Hall on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Spring interment at Nipissing Cemetery. Should you wish to make a memorial donation, the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association (cheques only please) are suggested.
