LUCK, Joan Eva Evelyn (Berde) nee Verroche
Our loving mother passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2018 in her
92nd year at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton, ON. Beloved mother of
Lori Ann Luck-Pota (Saverio) and Dr. Lane Luck (Jo-Ann). Loving Nana
of Alia and Alexandra (Lexi) Pota, Kaitlin Goertzen and Jordan Clark.
Joan will be missed by her special friend Angelo Viola. Joan is
predeceased by her husband of 42 years Dr. Leonard Luck, daughter
Grace Ann, brother Fred Verroche and sister Margaret Sorbara. Joan
loved to entertain and travelled the world with her late husband
Leonard, taking every opportunity to meet and befriend people
everywhere she went. Joan lived fiercely and garnered love and respect
from all who met her. Joan will be remembered fondly for her quick wit
and her unwavering love of life, family and friends. Cremation has
taken place. A private service will take place and Joan will be
interred at Victoria Lawn Cemetery in St. Catharines. Donations in
Joan’s memory would be appreciated to St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation
(www.hamiltonhealth.ca) in Hamilton.
