Obituary for Peter John Gray
Peter John Gray (1947-2018)
Aged 70, of Toronto, passed away on Friday, January 5 at his home at Wellesley Place after a long and difficult fight with Huntington Disease.
The son of Peter and Margaret Gray, he was born on January 26, 1947 in Aberdeen, Scotland, and emigrated to Canada with his family in June 1952. He grew up and lived in Toronto for the remainder of his life. He was a professional actor, singer and songwriter who received awards for his song writing, including the 1975 BMI Canada Ltd Certificate of Honour for outstanding contribution to Canadian music. He is survived by his wife, Nola Wale (Barrie), his brother Gerry (Charlottetown), stepchildren Susie and Stephen, and numerous cousins in Canada and the UK.
