Obituary for John Douglas Reid
Reid, John Douglas – Passed away peacefully at his home in Belleville on Thursday November 16th, 2017 in his 74th year. Loving husband to Mary, and father to John (Monica) of Trenton, and Paul (Melanie) of Stirling. Step-father to Marla Sherman (Chris) of Corbyville, and Brad Moore (Julie) of Stirling. Grandfather to Victoria, Joshua, Courtenay, Sierra, Kelsy, Connor and Jacob. Son-In-Law to Ruth Lawes. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Stella, and by brothers Oscar, Ken and Everett. In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to celebrate John’s Life at the Thurlow Community Centre, 516 Harmony Road in Corbyville on Thursday December 7th, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m (A Memorial Service will be held from 2:00 to 3:00p.m). John had a great love for music (Eagle Band Ministries) for many years. He will be greatly missed by his fellow musicians. Many thanks to Dr Levesque and the nurses at the BGH Oncology Clinic, and the nurses at the V.O.N. Clinic. Donations to the Oncology Clinic at BGH , or to the Belleville Centennial Free Methodist Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
