Margaret Gledhill 2018

Obituary Overview
Margaret “Mavis” Gledhill (nee Johnson)
1938 – 2017
On December 28, 2017 Mavis lost her battle with cancer and passed away at the age of “29 and holding”. She took her final breaths holding her son Allan’s hand. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Chas in 2014 after over 50 years of marriage.
Mom worked at TD Bank for her entire adult life. She also talked about her waitressing days at the Old Pony Corral on Pembina back in the late 60’s.
She loved taking pictures and always had a camera in her pocket ready to take your picture. She was a beautiful artist, loved to tinker in her yard and enjoyed the Bomber, Jays and Jets games. Mom enjoyed her grandkids hockey, baseball games and in her recent years attending her grandson’s speed skating. She also loved to spend time at the family cottage sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds and floating around the lake on her inner tube.
Mom’s memory will be forever cherished by her sons Larry, Jeff, Allan and Scott and their partners; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family wish to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place and at Mom’s request no formal service will be held.
