Obituary of Vernon Wittman
The Wittman Family celebrates the Life of Vernon William Wittman who passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the age of 88 years.
Vernon is survived by: his loving wife of 63 years, Norma (Davey); three daughters, Darlene Kennedy (Scott), Wendy Fesyk (Garvin) and Kelly Duncan (Shawn); seven grandchildren, Jason Fesyk (Elissa), Tyson Kirtzinger (Jaime), Justin Fesyk (Katelin), Lindsay Kirtzinger, Amber Meadows (Owen) Brody Duncan and Kody Kennedy (Kaitlyn); nine great grandchildren, Andrew Fesyk, Taylor, Jason, and Parker Kirtzinger, Grady, Rylan, and Kelby Fesyk, and Hailey and Caleb Meadows.
Vernon was born in Marcelin, Sask. on August 8, 1929. He was the only child of Thomas and Dorothy Wittman. Vernon followed in his dad’s footsteps and worked for the CIBC for 43 years prior to retiring to his beloved Cottage at Moonlight Bay, Turtle Lake, Sask. This was Vern and Norma’s summer home since 1968 as they moved around from Ontario, Manitoba and Sask. with the bank. Vern’s passion was spending time at his cottage with family and friends, boating, fishing and enjoying the outdoors.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Riverside Health Complex, Turtleford, Saskatchewan.
At Vernon’s request a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
