Life Story for Joyce Evelyn Watson (Allan)
WATSON Joyce Evelyn (Allan)
Joyce Watson passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Carol on December 30, 2017 at the age of 93. She was the beloved wife of Harold, who predeceased her in 2005, and the much loved mother of Lorraine and Rick Sibbick, Jean Garner and Carol and Ted Brenneman. She was the cherished Nanny of Josh and Kelly Brenneman and Holly Brenneman and her fiancé Ryan Walden and the adoring Great Nanny of Emilia, Keagyn, Breanna, Addyson and Haleigh. She will be missed by her surviving sisters-in-law, Evelyn Vice and Gladys Henry, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a faithful member of Stamford United Church. Joyce found great joy in her garden and in nature. She cheered for the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs and enjoyed bowling, knitting, long visits in person or by phone and chocolate in any form. She was always happiest when with her family.
Friends and family will be welcomed at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Morse and Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street with one hour visitation prior to the service, followed by a lunch at the Morse & Son Event Centre next to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Stamford Lane United Church or Indwell would be appreciated.
