It is with heavy hearts but with thankfulness the family of Winnie Parsons of Glenburnie announce her passing in her 98th year at the Bonne Bay Hospital on November 17th,2017. She leaves to mourn, her son Reggie Parsons ( Lucy ), daughters Maisie Martin, Linda Parsons life long care giver who lived in the home with her, Ruby Sharpe ( Ian ). 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 4 great- great – grand children also a large circle of nieces, nephews and all other family and friends and her U.C.W. group. Winnie was predeceased by her husband Calvin, sons-in-law Taylor Hann and Norman Martin. Visitation will take place on Sunday , November 19,2017 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9pm. from the United Church in Shoal Brook, where also the funeral service will take on Monday at 1:30pm. with Rev. Jocelyn Cooke officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot. By request of the family in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United Church Window Fund in Shoal Brook where mom was a dedicated member for over 70 years. The family would like to thank all doctors and nurses at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point where mom had spent 2 days before her eternal life with the Lord and a special thank-you to Dr. John Kielty Jr. and his staff at the Deer Lake Clinic and the Pharmacists at Lawtons in Deer Lake.
