William «Bill» F. Wiseman
William «Bill» Francis Wiseman, 81, of
Monarch Hall, Riverview, with his family by his side, passed away
peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at his residence. Born in St.
John’s, NL, he was the son of the late William and Minnie
(Burry) Wiseman. Bill retired from Human Resources, Marine
Atlantic with 34 years’ service. He attended the United
Church of Canada and enjoyed golfing at Lakeside Golf Course, skiing
with the Shediac Bay Ski Club at Poley Mountain, skating, reading and
spending summers at Oceans Surf Trailer Park. Bill was a past
President of the Kinsmen Club, Mount Pearl (1972-1973), having won the
Outstanding Presidents Award and served as District 7 Deputy Governor
(1973-1974).
Bill will be sadly missed by his
partner, Brenda Hay of Moncton; sons,
Tony (Anne Kearney) of St. John’s, NL, Todd (Laurie) of
Cambridge, ON, Trevor of Grand Cayman Islands and Tim (Diane McCawley)
of Moncton; grandchildren, Frances, Max, Sean, Sally, Sandra, Michael,
Sarah and Matthew; great grandchildren, Koen, Noah and Lilah; twin
brother, Rev. Burry Wiseman (Norma) of Kingston, ON; mother of his
children, Sandra (Sparkes) Peckham (Fred) of St. John’s, NL;
as well as several nieces nephews and extended family members. In
addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brothers, Stephen
and Morley; sisters Molly and Cynthia.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to
celebrate and honor Bill’s life will be held at Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 10:30
am. Reception in the Funeral Home
Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held in
Mount Pleasant Cemetery, St. John’s, NL at a later
date.
Bill’s family would like to thank the staff of
Monarch Hall for the encouragement and support shown to Bill and his
family during his stay.
