In loving memory
LORD, Wayne Lyle
November 29, 1949 – November 23, 2017
Wayne’s family sadly announces the sudden passing of a husband, father, Poppa, brother and friend on the evening of November 23, 2017.
Wayne graduated from the UofAlberta and joined the Foreign Service (Immigration). He and Brenda enjoyed postings to London, Warsaw, Bridgetown, Belgrade, Hong Kong and Manila before settling back in Ottawa. Back in Canada Wayne worked for External Affairs, and Indian and Northern Affairs before retiring. Over his career, he received several accolades, including being awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal by the Governor General of Canada. Wayne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and took this on as yet another challenge. In his retirement he explored his creativity and expression through collage, painting and drawing. His works were gifted with love.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Brenda, children Jennifer (Maciek), Nigel (Pomona) and Sarah, granddaughters Olivia and Isabela, and siblings, Randy and Sherry.

Saturday December 2 after 10 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service in the chapel at 11 a.m. followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson Society of Ontario or the Neurology Dept. of the Ottawa Hospital.
