Mom, Gram, dear friend Shirley, went to be with the man upstairs on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Waiting to welcome his princess into heaven with open arms is her loving husband, the late «KG» Ken Jackson. Loving mother to Jeffrey (Lois), Mark (Linda) and Craig (Jan). Proud Gram to Lindsay (Aaron), Scott (Melissa), Christa, Cameron, Lisa (Ryan) and Laurie (Quentin). Special Gram to her great-grandchildren Dominique, Jimmy, Haiden, Lachlan and Kaia. Survived by her dear sister Ethel (Penny). Predeceased by her parents Charles and Isabella, as well as her siblings Eva, George, Isabel (Biz), Jack and Betty. She will be dearly missed by her loving companion Belle. Special thanks to Dr. Alison Flanagan, Dr. Alex Trussler, Dr. Chris Parker and Paramed nurse, Alice. Family and friends will be received at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Saturday, September 16 between the hours of 12 noon and 1:50 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m., with The Venerable Dr. Robert Hales officiating. Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to U.H.K.F. (Palliative Care at Providence Care), in Shirley’s memory.
