It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Jeffrey (nee Somerville) on Dec 24th, in her 74th year, beautiful and beloved wife & teammate to Larry for 53 years. Loving mother to Melaine (Brian) Buffinga of Bluewater & Todd (Carrie) Jeffrey of Barrie. Proud Nana of Connor and Lauren. Survived by brother Paul (Carolyn) Somerville of Walton, her cousin & lifelong friend/’twin’ Barb MacDonald. Dear Aunt to her many nieces & nephews, as well as countless adored cousins. Predeceased by her parents Walter & Margaret Somerville, brother Tom, sister Elaine & brother Brian. Sharon had a passion in helping others, she enjoyed music & dancing, flower gardens & her cats. Everyone that knew her caring ways & her vibrant smile, will miss her presence within the community. She enjoyed dedicating her time for the past 50 years to the C.W.L & St. Peter’s choir, as well as helping Larry at the Knights of Columbus. The family has respectfully chosen a private visitation only. Funeral mass will be held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Goderich, on Sat. Dec. 30th. Eulogy will start at 10:45a.m. with Mass to follow at 11:00a.m. Reception to follow at the Columbus Community Centre at 390 Parsons Court, Goderich following the funeral mass (approximately 12:00p.m.) Everyone welcome. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Huron County Hospice or One Care Support Services or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
