Samuel « Jack » John Reilly December 15, 1932 – June 28, 2015

Samuel « Jack » John Reilly passed away peacefully June 28th, 2015. Devoted husband, Jack was predeceased by his wife of 46 years Dorothy (Moore). He was one of 6 children. Maureen, Dennis, Tom, Reg (deceased) and Ivan. Jack was born in Waringstown, County Down, Northern Ireland in 1932. He attended local school and technical college, leaving at 15 years and took up an apprenticeship as a Motor Engineer. Jack left Ireland at age 20 and travelled to the U.S. After 3 months he moved to Toronto, Canada where he met the love of his life Dorothy, and they married in 1957. Jack started working with the York Board of Education shorty after as a Stationary Engineer. They moved to Brampton in 1975. In retirement, Jack and Dorothy had a passion for travel and visited much of Canada, the U.S., Ireland and the U.K. Avid Blue Jays fans they attended many games in both Toronto and Dunedin, Florida. Dorothy passed away in 2003 and in 2007 Jack moved into the Villages of Sandalwood Parkway in Brampton. He was a member of the Peel Association for Handicapped Adults (PAHA) and enjoyed many social events and activities. Jack has many nieces and nephews, spread across Canada, Ireland, England and New Zealand. He will be dearly missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Parkinson’s Society of Canada would be appreciated.
