Ruth Evangeline Doyle

DOYLE (Casey), Ruth Evangeline
– Age 97, Little Dover, Guysborough Co., died peacefully on
Thursday, September 7, 2017, in the Milford Haven Home for Special
Care, Guysborough. She was born on July 20, 1920, in Little Dover and
was the beloved daughter of the late John and Lena
Casey.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Landry (Ralph);
Theresa Turnbull (Phil); son, Gerry Doyle (Dawn); as well as her many
grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her sister, Ruby Horne
(Ambrose); daughter-in-law, Verna Doyle. She was predeceased by her
husband, Frank Doyle; son, Eddie Doyle; sisters and brothers, Nora,
Lucy, Eileen, Bernice, Pauline, Carl, Harry, Del and
Clyde.
Ruth thoroughly enjoyed life with her family and friends and
all of the children she taught over the years brought her joy and
delight. She and husband Frank took their children on an amazing
journey across Canada involving many exciting adventures. She was
loved by so many and respected by everyone who knew her. She touched
and inspired so many lives and showed her faith through her words and
actions. Her children and grandchildren thought of her as their rock,
the person to go to about anything. Her husband adored her and she has
so many nieces and nephews that she loved and guided.
Her family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff
at Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough for the warmth and
kindness they always provided.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 11, from 2-8 p.m. in
Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be 2 p.m.
Tuesday from St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover with Father
Jonathan Nnajiofor officiating. Burial will follow in the parish
cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Agnes Parish, St.
Agnes Cemetery Fund or to Milford Haven Home for Special Care,
