Ruth Elizabeth Buck
Ruth E. Buck, 86, long time resident
of Riverview, passed away peacefully at Monarch Hall Riverview on
Saturday December 23, 2017. Born in Moncton, she was the
daughter of the late Ellsworth and Bessie (Johnston)
Crawford.
Ruth was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew
her. She loved caring and tending to her family and friends
welcoming all to her home and cottage. Ruth had a wonderful
sense of humour and loved to make people laugh.
Ruth will be sadly missed by her
loving husband, Bedford Buck (62 years) of Riverview; her children,
Jane Sherrard of Moncton, Peter Buck (Ann) of Moncton, Richard Buck
(Kelly) of Riverview, Patty Hicks (Rod) of Fredericton and Jimmy
Beaman (Cathy) of Upper Coverdale; grandchildren, Johnson and Bedford
Sherrard, Dean and Carla Beaman, Jacob and Grace Hicks, Laura Marinas,
Sarah, Katie, Andrew, Alex, Nick, Jack and Rob Buck; 5 cherished great
grandchildren; sister, Jean Smith (Ron) of Moncton; brother in law, Al
Harris; sisters in law, Grace Hankinson (Jim) and Greta Beaver;
several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was
predeceased by her sisters, Shirley Murgo and Joan Beaman; brother,
Robert Crawford.
The Buck Family would like to thank
the doctors, nurses and all the support staff at Monarch Hall for the
love and care given to Ruth during her stay
Visitation will be at Fergusons
Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road (858-1995), Moncton on Wednesday,
December 27, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to
celebrate and honour Ruth’s life will be held from Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1:30 pm with
Rev. Donald Arbeau leading the service. Reception following
the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment
to be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations in
Ruth’s memory can be made to The Humanity Project/What Kids
Need or charity of the donor’s choice. Private
