Russell « Clarence » Mason 1932-2016 The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, May 8, 2016 of Russell “Clarence” Mason, of Sherwood and formerly of Long Creek, age 84 years. Beloved husband of 57 years to Katheryn (nee Ford). Dear father to Wade, at home; Robert (Heather), Riverview, N.B.; and Kathy Mossman (Irwin), South Winsloe. Cherished grandfather of Robert and William Mason and Katie Belle Mossman; step-grandfather of Jon Harquail and great-grandfather of Michael and Chase Mason. Brother of Blanche Hooper, Charlottetown, and Stanley Mason, Long Creek. Brother-in-law of Robert Ford (Anna), Nancy Allan (Donnie) and Allan Ford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Russell and Mary Jane Mason; father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Belle Ford; sisters, Eleanor Smith (Lester), Pearle Blackett (Walter), Phyllis Smith (Lloyd), and Leila Burke (John); brother-in-law, Les Hooper; and sister-in-law, Norma Mason. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Charlottetown on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Charlottetown.
