Roy Colpitts
1942-2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the
passing of Roy Vincent Colpitts, 74, of Colpitts Settlement on Sunday,
January 8, 2017.
Born in Colpitts Settlement, he was the son of the
late Lorne and Clara (Carter) Colpitts. With a
smile on his face and a spark of mischief in his eyes, Roy could be
counted on to make anyone smile and laugh with his crazy ways and his
shenanigans. Roy loved to spend time at the camp playing
horseshoes and washer toss with his friends and family. He
loved to be in the woods, no matter if he was cutting wood for winter
or going on the great moose hunt. He looked forward to the
moose draw like a kid looks forward to Christmas each
year.
Roy was a husband of 52 years to Donna (Carr), a
father to Darrin (Lisa), Vicky (Derrick), Aricka (Roger), Jodi
(Darren) and Travis (Cindy). He was a wonderful
« Papa » to Danielle, Alexandria, Brody, Taylor, Hayden, Noah,
Savanah, Jaxen, Chase and Jacob. He will be missed by his
brother Kenny (Eleanor), his sister Peggy and many nieces, nephews and
great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Roy was predeceased by his
brothers Cecil, Douglas, Weldon and Lorne; his sisters Margaret, Inez
and Pauline.
He was loved by all he knew and everyone he
met. He was kind and courteous with a great big open
heart. He will be greatly missed and always
loved.
There will be no service by personal
request. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral
Home and Crematorium (372-4800). Interment at a later
date.
If desired, memorials to the Moncton SPCA would be
appreciated by the family.
