It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roswell T Critchley of Stephenville Crossing, NL announce his sudden passing at 83 years of age on November 26, 2017. Roswell was a retired Firefighter with 40 years of experience with Stephenville and Deer Lake Airport. Over the years he received many awards and medals for his service. Roswell was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He was exceptionally close to his granddaughter Nikki who greatly mourns his passing. He was predeceased by his son Guy Critchley, parents Alice and Augustus, brothers James, John, Gerald, Richard and David. He leaves to mourn four daughters Lorraine Chaffey (Gregory), Rosalind Gaulton (Abbie), Marion Bennett (Dan) and Shirley Frietag, two sisters: Alice Stevenson and Marie Williams two brothers: Phil and Bill, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. As per his wishes a service will not be held and he will be cremated and laid to rest alongside his mother and father. His family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Facility for the excellent care provided during his stay there.
