It is with greatest sadness that we, the family of Rosaline Theresa Fudge, 77, announce her passing at home on December 25, 2017, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born May 19, 1940 she was the daughter of the late John and Theresa Hall.
Until her retirement, Rose was employed at the Point of View, the Fortress of Louisbourg, Catalone General Store and Zellers. She found great enjoyment in volunteering, particularly as a member of the UCW at MacMillan Memorial United Church in Catalone. She was also an active church member at McMillan Memorial United. She donated her time to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, and served as a Brownie leader. She enjoyed doing crafts and will be missed by her quilting friends. One of her greatest joys was baking for her grandchildren.
Rose is survived by her husband, Ken; her children, Toby (Michelle), Della (Paul) and Darrell (Lori); grandchildren, Kyle, Aaron, Allison and Nick, as well as greatgrandchild, Jensen, and brother, Donnie.
Rose is predeceased by brothers and sisters, Maria, Isabel, Henry, Tommy, Earle, Angus and Alec. She has now joined her beloved dog, Tippy.
As per Rose’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Memorial service will take place Thursday, December 28 at 2 p.m. at Memorial United Church in Catalone. Rev. Emily Duggan to officiate.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to McMillan Memorial United Church.
