JULY 25, 1931-AUGUST 8, 2008 With deep sadness we witnessed our loved one, Rebecca (Wipf) Hofer, beloved wife of John R. Hofer peacefully pass from this life, August 8, 2008. And yet it brings us joy to know that she is resting in the arms of Jesus, joining the family circle in heaven. She is dearly missed by her husband John R. Hofer; her four children Linda (Ronald) Ulrich of Jessup, Georgia, Glen (Charlene) Hofer of Raymond, AB, Esther (Allen) Hostetler of LaMonte, Missouri, Jonathan Hofer of Stirling, AB; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; siblings David (Elizabeth) Wipf of Brooks, AB, Mary Wipf and Anne Wipf of Stirling, AB, Katherine Wipf of Lethbridge, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Her church family at Stirling Mennonite and her many friends. She was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Anna Wipf; 2 infant grandchildren Lily Anne and Matthew Hostetler. Her generous heart and sweet smile will be remembered by many… we knew she loved us and spent much time alone with God on our behalf. We greatly appreciate her trust in God as she faced life and the legacy of faith she left with us. Wife and Mother … Sister and Grandma, we miss you… it doesn’t seem like reality. Yet we look forward with great expectation to being with you in heaven … forever. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.†A special thanks to our church and friends who gave so much … and also the kind nurses and doctors of the Chinook Regional Hospital and St. Michael’s Health Center, who took such good care of her. Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects between 7 PM and 9 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th St. S. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the COLLEGE DRIVE COMMUNITY CHURCH, 2710 College Dr. S., Lethbridge, AB with Pastor Delbert Birky and Pastor Michael Hofer, officiating.
