Ralph Boyd Gregory 1934-2016 The death occurred peacefully on June 23, 2016 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Ralph Boyd Gregory, age 82 years. Ralph was the last surviving family member of Percy and Joneva (nee Livingstone) Gregory of Parkdale. He was predeceased by brothers Vernon « Johnny », Sterling and Douglas; sisters Noreen Gregory and Patsy McKenna. He is survived by brother-in-law John Tillman. Ralph leaves to mourn his three children, Scott (Nora), Brian (Patti) and Lori Ann Church. Also survived by his grandchildren Josh Gregory, Gillian (Johnny) Caissie, Blake, Colin and Kristin Gregory, and Chanelle and Cooper Church; great grandson Lincoln Caissie as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ralph was born in Charlottetown but was raised by his aunt and uncle, Frank and Minnie Boyd of Stellarton/Westville, NS. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy at an early age and served for 3 years and then returned home to PEI. He was employed for 30 years with Marine Atlantic and worked on the Abegweit prior to retirement. He spent the last 20 years living at Park Royal Court and a few short months at Andrews Lodge. Ralph was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed the serenity and peacefulness of casting a line into a dark pool on a riverbank. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home for visitation on Monday 6 – 8 p.m. No funeral service by personal request. A private family committal service will be held in The people’s Cemetery, Charlottetown at a later date. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the QEH Foundation.
