GREEN: PHILLIP GENE (1950-2017)
It is with great sadness that Mr Phillip Greene of Grand
Manan Island passed away suddenly on Thursday May 11, 2017 at The
Grand Manan Hospital.
Phil was the son of the late Austin and Elizabeth (Guptill)
Green. He is survived by his partner Rochelle Thompson of Castalia,
three daughters Ilene Wilcox of Grand Manan, Kathryn Mullen
(Jimmy) of Saint John, and Kristen Greene also of Saint John. Four
grandchildren, Lee Wilcox, Sumner Wilcox, Lauren Linton and Jake
Mullen, two sisters, Brenda Sewell (Herb) of Harvey, Donna
Landry (Victor) of Maine US, and one brother Wayne Green (Natania) of
Woodwards Cove. Phil was predeceased by his parents, and one
granddaughter Lainey Mullen.
Phil was a man of few words that enjoyed the simple things in
life. When he wasn’t dulsing, hunting, or fishing, Phil
loved spending time at Dark Harbour with friends, watching the sunset.
He also loved bluegrass music, buggying, reading, and
spending time at home with his cats.
Visiting will take place at Ells Funeral Home on Sunday May
14th, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. The Funeral Service will be on Monday
May 15th, 2017 from the Lighthouse Church at
1:00pm, with Rev. Steve Bradley officiating.
The family have requested donations be made to The Grand
Manan Hospital Foundation, or to the donor’s
choice.
