Peter «Pete» Dennis McClure
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our
much loved father, Peter «Pete» D. McClure at The
Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
Pete was born in Moncton, the son of the late William
«Bill» and Florina «Flo» (Conn)
McClure.
Pete will be sadly missed by his three loving children,
daughters, Sally Allen (Craig) and Joanne Belliveau (Oscar), both of
Moncton and son, Kevin McClure of Cumberland Bay; his cherished
grandchildren, Eric, Kelsey, Charlotte, Ross and Gabrielle; sisters,
Wendy Marney and Debbie Drisdelle (Ray); dear friend, Claudette
Leaman; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Pete was predeceased by his wife,
Patricia «Pat» McClure in 2013 and brother Wayne in
2016.
Pete was a retired sales manufacturing agent and the Owner /
Operator of McClure Marketing.
Pete was very proud and supportive of his family, especially
his grandchildren, who were very near and dear to him. He
was well known in Moncton as a man who selflessly gave his time to
various organizations, where he was a former coach for Moncton Minor
Hockey and Baseball. He was a member of the UCT, NWCT and was a
recipient of The Moncton 100 Centennial Award.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care team, Unit
3600, at The Moncton Hospital for the care, compassion and dignity
shown to Pete and his loved ones during his stay.
Private graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery,
with Rev. Danny Compton officiating. A public gathering for family and
friends to celebrate and honour Pete’s life will be held on
Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 1:30 – 4:30 pm at The Moncton
Air Force Veterans Club, 494 St. George St.
Arrangements under the guidance and professional care of
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road (858-1995).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Research
Institute or the Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated
