Muriel Barbara Swan
1930-2017
Muriel B. Swan of Harvey, York County, NB passed away February 20,
2017 at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB. She was born at Thomaston
Corner, NB in 1930, a daughter of the late Russell and Ida (Reynolds)
Christie. Muriel was employed for twenty eight years with NB Tel,
retiring in 1986. She had been a member of the Harvey Curling Club,
the Ladies Bowling League in Harvey and was an avid Blue Jays fan.
She enjoyed creating beautiful flower gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest L. Swan; a son, Michael Swan; a
granddaughter, Rachel Swan; grandsons Shelby Swan, Matthew and Brandon
Swan; a daughter-in-law, Laurel Sloan; a sister, Elinor Holland; a
sister-in-law, Sylvia Swan and several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
In addition to her parents, Muriel was predeceased by a sister,
Lorraine Tracy.
In keeping with Muriel’s wishes there will be no visitation or
funeral service. A graveside service will be held later at Harvey
Settlement Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Muriel, the family
has suggested Knox Presbyterian Church or Wauklehegan Manor.
