Obituary for Michael Albert
Albert, Michael:
1947-2017
Passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.
Beloved husband to Linda for forty-six years. Loving father of Brent and Scott (Laura). Proud grandfather of Zoe and Skye. Also survived by his nephew, Kenneth Albert.
Predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Clara Albert, and his brother and sister-in-law, Budd and Barb Albert.
Mike worked for Canada Revenue Agency for thirty years. He enjoyed golfing, curling, motorcycling and summers at Sauble Beach with family and friends.
Thank you to the staff at Grand River Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital and the Palliative Care Team for the wonderful care they provided. Special thanks to Dr. Gregor, Dr. Warren and Nurse Donna.
Cremation has taken place.
Mike’s family will receive relatives and friends from 1 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Sharing of memories will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Private family interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Southgate at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation – Cancer Centre, or the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation – Cardiac Care would be appreciated by the family.
