On July 15, 2017 Elvina Chapman of Evansburg passed away at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 82 years. Elvina possessed great cleverness, a great sense of humour and loved to laugh. Elvina also loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. One of Elvina’s greatest qualities was her beautiful ability to simply be kind to everyone – Above all, her utmost love dwelled within her family. Elvina will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Dan (Cindy) Chapman, Laurie (Ken) Williams, Charlene (Wayne) Chickeness and Paula (Jon) Mellanby; daughter-in-law, Bonnie; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and her siblings, Arthur, Rita, Alcide, Laura, Danny and their families, as well as by many extended family and friends. Elvina was predeceased by her son, Kenny Chapman; the father of her children, Ken Chapman; parents, Daniel and Beatrice Baglot and brother, René Baglot. Elvina’s life will be celebrated at Evansburg Legion Branch #196, 4823 50 Street, Evansburg on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Lorne Trudgian officiating. Memorial donations in Elvina’s name may be made directly to the Cross Cancer Institute.
