Mary Allen Mitchell
Mary Allen Mitchell of Moncton passed away peacefully at her
residence on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the age of 95. Born in
Toronto, ON, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Agnes Clarke.
She was a retired Court Officer in Toronto and member of the United
Church of Canada.
People who knew Mary can attest that she had a lively,
adventurous spirit and keen sense of humor. During her life she lived
in Ontario, England, Dartmouth, NS and Moncton, NB.
As an active volunteer over the years, Mary served as
District Cub-Mistress in Dartmouth, NS. In Toronto, she served as an
award winning volunteer with the Toronto Auxiliary Police Force. Mary
was a champion for people less fortunate and in her 70s and 80s
volunteered with the Codiac RCMP Victim Services Unit, Moncton NB.
Mary will be sadly missed by her sons, Arthur (Heather) of
Winnipeg, MB, Allen (Marilyn) of Moncton, NB and Andrew (Lynn) of
Dartmouth, NS; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; sister, Joyce
Dickson of Toronto; nieces, nephews and extended family members. She
was predeceased by her sister, Doris.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from
2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:00 pm. There will be a private family
service immediately following evening visitation.
The family wishes to thank the owner and staff at Serenacare
for their loving and caring support.
