Addie passed away at home surrounded by love. She was predeceased by her loving husband George and her pet, Yorkie Starr. Addie was born in Vancouver B.C. where she spent her youth. In 1952 she married her George and shortly after, they moved south to San Francisco where they spent many years working and basking in the California sunshine. In their latter years, they moved to Victoria where they enjoyed their retirement years together. Addie is survived and was loved by her step-son, Gordon MacKay and nephew, David Brennan of Glasgow, Scotland and numerous relatives in B.C. and Washington State. She will be sadly missed by her “family of the heart” Lorie & Bernie Zorn of Shawnigan Lake, B.C. Addie was an amazing person who made friends where ever she went. She will always be remembered by her close friends, Elizabeth, Barb, Suzanne, Silvina and Eric. Special thanks to family doctor, Dr. H. Coetze and Dr. Colin Riddler, RNs Helima and Ashley at the Royal Jubilee Hospital 6th floor north. Our very deep appreciation and thanks to Comfort Keepers, Brecon, Mary, Suzanne and Sheri. You took such loving care of our Addie.
There will be no service as per Addie’s request. In lieu of flowers, Addie has requested donations to be made to the B.C. S.P.C.A., 3150 Napier Lane, Victoria, B.C. V8T 4V5. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
