MARY A. THORNHILL
1927-2016
It is with great sadness that the family of the late
MARY A. THORNHILL of Fortune announces her
passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Sunday,
October 30th, 2016, at the age of
88. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories are sons, Don Thornhill (Angela) of Lamaline, Henry
Thornhill (Cindy Bolt) of Fortune, Alex Thornhill (Gabriella) of
Fortune; daughters, Edna Boland (Alexander) of Fortune, Judy Collins
(Donald) of Grand Bay, NB; 10 grandchildren:
Terry,
Marion, Cammie, Judy Ann, Alex, Donny, Glenn, Johnny, Steven &
Scott; 17 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and
friends. She was predeceased by
husband, William H. Thornhill; son, Glen; daughter, Marion; grandson,
Jimmy; granddaughter, Judyette; sisters, Gertrude Cumbden &
Sarah Hillier; brother, George Keeping.
The Thornhill Family will be accepting visitors at
the Salvation Army Citadel in Fortune on Monday, October
31st, from 2:00 to 4:00 &
7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, November 1st, from 2:00 to 4:00 &
7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; from where the Funeral Service will take place on
Wednesday, November 2nd, at 2:00
p.m. Interment will follow at the
Salvation Army Cemetery in
Fortune.
In Mary’s
memory donations may be made to The Salvation Army in Fortune or
flowers gratefully accepted.
